How to maintain well-being at work

Maintaining well-being in the workplace is a practice that has gained prominence in our society over the years.

As workers’ benefits and rights have expanded, so has ensuring their physical and mental well-being become an essential aspect of company policy.

Studies show that happier employees are more productive in their jobs. Physical, mental, emotional and social balance contributes to personal fulfilment and thus also to corporate success.

Every company or employer has different parameters to improve the working lives of their employees depending on their resources or the number of workers they hire.

Well-being aspects

In a large company, there will always be a human resources department that, in addition to hiring employees, plans improvements and benefits for their own employees, such as:

  • Ability to reconcile work and family life through paid maternity and paternity leave and reduced working hours for statutory custody.
  • Possibility of working from home for people who also look after a minor or who live far away from the company.
  • Workplace gym for people who don’t have time to exercise after work but can do it during their lunch break.
  • Kindergarten at the workplace for children of employees. In this way, the parents have their children close to you and do not have to take even more time to pick them up.
  • Private health insurance for employees or own doctor at work.
  • The company’s psychologist or coach to help workers who are going through difficult circumstances or who need emotional support.
  • Relaxation room or a room with board games to relax during the lunch break.
  • Masseur or physiotherapist to treat work-related ailments.

Finally, we must not forget special events organized for specific celebrations: Christmas, spring or summer festivals, as well as organized weekend or day trips during which leisure activities are carried out to better get in touch with our employees and feel more comfortable in our to feel company.
