How do you make your company more sustainable?

 


Nowadays, there is no business or entrepreneur who should not think about how their business should be more sustainable.

What do we mean by “sustainable”? This is actually a term that has strongly shaped our lives in recent years.

Climate change is unstoppable if each of us does not take small or large steps in the right direction.

Sustainability means trying to stop polluting the environment. And even, if possible, to reverse the damage caused to the environment. To this end, a number of measures are taken which are different depending on the business.

When we think of business goals, this attitude is even quite productive and does not necessarily mean an expense for the business, but can bring both returns.

What can we do to become more sustainable?

Here are some measures you can set in your store:

· Rides to work. If possible, try not to drive to work by car every day. Prefer to use public transport or bike. Or walk if the distance is not too great.

· Paper. Reduce the printing of paper. We use tons of paper to print out, even if it is not always necessary. If you absolutely need to print, do so on a double page. There are companies that, in order to reverse the damage caused by tree felling, are taking reforestation campaigns. Use immer recycled paper.

· Office supplies. Take good care of the office supplies so that they are not changed or eaten away as often.

· Travel. Even more so these days due to the coronavirus pandemic, our travel requirements have been reduced. If possible, conduct your meetings online. There are numerous platforms that will help you have a good technique. This saves you enormously on CO2, which throws large amounts of pollutants into the environment particularly when you for drive long distances by car.

· Lighting. Switch to Led lamps and do not illuminate all rooms if it is not necessary. If possible, switch to green electricity.

· Turn off the computer. Turn off all computers and preferably even, pull the plug out.

· Separate garbage. Create various trash cans to separate the garbage into paper, plastic, glass and compost.

All of us together can try to act a little more sustainably to protect our environment.
